Our roots go back to 1953, when the firm was known as Poitras, Larue, Rondeau. In 2001, the company name changed to Univesta Assurances et Services Financiers Inc. Over the years, the organization has grown at a remarkable pace — driven by the know-how of an entire team and a growing presence across different markets.
Our firm built its reputation on a deeply committed team with an exceptional depth of expertise. Univesta has a long track record when it comes to acquiring brokerage firms: between 2003 and 2017 in particular, we accelerated our growth through a series of acquisitions and strategic partnerships — some forty acquisitions in all.
Since then, we’ve focused on growing and developing our team, carefully choosing every person who joins it. Our aim is to keep growing, primarily on our own steam.
